An affordable easy-to-use cold laminator. Great for laminating, mounting prints to boards or applying transfer tapes. Eliminates the hassles and expense of outsourcing.

With the new QuickMount4, Daige suggests using a sled only on prints shorter than 4 ft. long. For shorter prints using a sled is the easiest and most foolproof way to laminate, particularly for novice laminators.

Many of our customers do much longer prints and do not need to use a sled for longer prints. The key is keeping the laminate from sticking to the bottom of the roller before the print runs through the rollers and then after the print exits the rollers. (With a sled you have space between the two rollers. Without it, the top roller presses down on the bottom roller and the laminate will go down with the bottom roller.)

Although a front shaft has been added to hold a roll of liner paper to go under the print you may end up generating wasted paper if you have liner paper under the entire long print. Instead, before laminating the print, you can simply place 12" wide piece of liner paper between the bottom roller and the laminate, to keep the laminate from sticking to the bottom roller. You can then attach another piece of liner paper 12" wide to the trailing edge of the print which will stay between the rollers after the print exits. This method makes laminating long prints easier.
